I'm currently working on a midi file that is definitely inspired by Doom. There will be influences from both Robert Prince and Aubrey Hodges as you listen to the piece. I also intend to share it here, in case any WAD authors or Level Designers would like to add it to their WADs as either a .MID or convert to .MUS with the appropriate editors. My main question is this: How can I get it "out there" to share with the rest of the world, once my song is done? Any insight that ANYONE can add would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Darkhaven3.
Elbryan42, or Kaiser... can you offer any insights here, please? I'd appreciate any clues that either one of you can offer. Thanks in advance.

I can throw it on Doom2.net, but not necessarily on the Depot (with the narrowed focus and such), but it'll be online. I'm intrigued. I love Doom's music in all forms, and would definitely like a listen.

I will send you the midi when it's done, then. I totally understand the narrowed focus of the Doom Depot's music section. In fact, I'm all for it! All of the official Doom OSTs need a home away from home. Thanks a lot for the response.

For any and all parties interested, I'm adding final touches on the midi song as we speak. I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of the week, if my work schedule permits. If I recall correctly, I have sent Elbryan42 a beta version of the 1st song, as a sample.
I also am working on a "cover" version of Bobby Prince's "Demons on the Prey" song from Doom 1. I hope it'll end up just as cool sounding as I'm dreaming it up.
Stay tuned for further developments.

Kaiser, I aim to please. Doom music fans are a tough crowd as it is, I'll tell ya... The biggest hurdle here is getting it to sound okay, with regards to the player's MIDI settings in ZDoom. I've been cheating a little and using my own soundfonts in one version, and it'll be unfair and very impractical to have everybody download a special soundfont that'll work great on one song yet horrendous in another. So I'm picking and choosing different instruments to get both MIDI files to sound good enough to upload. Then again, maybe I'm putting too much unnecessary pressure on myself...
