Aight ya'll, peep dis... I finally got off my lazy ass and decided to post my projects which I've been workin on for da last 2 months......
PROJECT #1: IMPORTANT: Anybody who has ANY advice on doin colormaps, feel free to contact me or post it here, because this is currently the only thing I have left to do.
NEW PALETTE AND COLORMAPS for Doom2: Status: 85% complete, currently under construction. What's left: doin ALL da colormaps
1)Optimized ALL color scales. 2)Removed redundant/less used colors and Duplicates. 3)Redone ALL lesser used palettes to be more modern, colorized and useable for custom images. 4)Added in about 46 original colors 5)Elaborated slightly on the more commonly used colors 6)Modified ALL graphics MANUALLY, so dat 95% of them look JUST like da original ones.... da other 5% look IMPROVED and more realistic. 7)Made sure dat NO IMAGES LOSE ANY noticeable DETAIL AT ALL!!
Info: Well..... I managed to redo da palette in doom2 in such a way, dat there were about 64+ entries left free in da palette to put new colors in (4-5 lines *16). I optimized ALL da color scales, so dat redundant USELESS colors were removed, as well as duplicates.
Then I adjusted the lesser used scales, so dat they would be more colorful, could be used for a LOT more sprites, AND looked more realistic (ex. da arch-vile's yellow). Then I went in and MANUALLY touched up da sprites and images dat looked slightly off.
Now da best part about dis palette... you can still use ALL DOOM2 images, as well MOST of da WOLFENSTEIN/SOD (both versions of SOD), HERETIC, AND HEXEN ones, with only some losin a little of their detail. And it seems dat MANY of da doom64 images also look very detailed as well usin dis palette! DAT'S ABOUT 6 FUCKIN GAMES WORTH OF IMAGES ALTOGETHER! ;D

Project #2: IMPORTANT: If any of ya'll peeps got any suggestions for types of ambient sounds which you would like in da wad, feel free to post em and I'll see what I can do for ya. At da moment I am thinking about including a map30 (SAME MAP)with new entries so dat Baphomet has ambient sounds using acs scripting.... but I don't know if I'm gonna do it in dis wad.... what do ya'll peeps want me to do?
NEW UPDATED SOUNDS WAD for Doom2: Status: 95% COMPLETE! 1)About 300 NEW AND UNQIUE SOUNDS in da wad. 2)All sounds are in 22050 format.... some are 16-bit and stereo even. 3)Sndinfo.lmp included. 4)22 ambient sounds for you to use! 5)SPLASHES FOR DIFFERENT liquids, along with their full sets of sounds and NEW PALETTE ADJUSTED GRAPHICS! AS WELL as sounds for when you land on da ground, hollow steel things (like platforms, steps), and flesh floors. 6)Warping liquids which look MORE realistic. 7)HIGH DAMAGE LAVA quake 2 style (even an enviro suit won't protect you), in ADDITION TO THE NORMAL DAMAGE LIQUIDS WHICH ARE STILL INCLUDED! 8)Customized for zdoom, but can be used with other ports with some minor work. 9)Mutiple sight, idle, dth, etc sounds for some monsters (Da SS_nazi has 5 site sounds, and 6 death sounds alone!) 10)BAPHOMET DA FINAL BOSS IDLE SOUNDS, LAUGHING SOUNDS, AND REDONE SIT, DTH AND PAIN SOUNDS! His idle and laughing sounds are ambient and can be scripted in to give him a more realistic effect.
What's left: redoin 6 sounds, touchin up and adjustin volume levels of about 3 more. Waitin for Randy Heit to get back to me on what looks like a MAJOR glitch in da SNDINFO entry, with usin random statements for classes besides da male one.
Info: Well I originally released da Doom64 sounds WAAAAAAAY back about a year ago.... now since Elbryan redid MOST of them, and they came out of better quality, I decided dat i should redo my sounds wad. BUT..... I did NOT just use doom64 sounds dis time......
What I have wanted to do for da longest time wuz put in UNIQUE sounds for all 3 classes in ZDOOM (male, female, cyborg), and give each and EVERY monster his own set of sounds. If you look in doom2 you'll notice da TONS OF MONSTERS have da same idle sounds, pain sounds... even their projectiles and their explosions sound da same...... NOT ANY MORE!!!!
At da moment, I have put in unique sound scheme for EACH AND EVERY monster. Almost every monster has a full set of sounds, with only 1 or 2 exceptions, due to things which are linked together in da zdoom.exe.
Da rest of da sounds are unique and different. Some monsters even have multiple site/idle/pain and/or dth sounds. And da doom classes each have random sounds used for different pain amounts, deaths, etc. I even Included a few EASTER EGG sounds, which you is gonna have to be either really good, or REALLY BAD to hear in some cases.

Make sure to check out da following wads if ya like doom64 stuff: 1)Kaiser's doom64.wad: It has some doom64 sprites in it, and several look pretty fuckin tight. I do NOT have a video capture card, so I am simply takin da images which kaiser and Elby releasin and helping to test them for quality and accuracy. I also have tried "adpating" several of da monsters with my color palette..... and they look almost FLAWLESS! Around 90%-97% in accuracy! Even after bein shrunk down 50%! Of course Images like da plasma shot and bfg shot which use only color WILL HAVE TO LOSE SOME DETAIL (these images use a few thousand colors each), but with a little manual work.... I can make them look pretty damn good! Now, since they just started recently on dis it's gonna be a while till it's complete... but when they are done (and I plan on doin everythin I can to help them) I'm gonna try and import da graphics into a doom2.wad in a way so DAT THEY STILL LOOK AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE! With my new palette it may be possible to keep da details on about 70-90% of the things in it! Of course, MANY things will have to be manually touched up, but dat's fine by me. Anyways..... WHEW, dat was a lot of typin.... I think I'll go ta sleep now finally. Dat's mah word, and I'm out!

I guess I should tell you what I´m up to.
Right now I´m ripping the monsters fireballs and projectiles and their explosions.
I´m not having that much sparetime right now. Study,study,study... But I´m not dead... Yet.
That´s about it I think. I´ll post more when I got more to say.

I'm currently helping out on Doom: Revisited. I'll take another look at ep 5 when we get some Damn hosting. Doom: Revisited NEEDS YOUR HELP! We need mappers, preferably in the gothic style! UAC City, and Hell are preferable, too. We have Archvile64 and Vegeta helping out right now, as well as superloud and I.

Doom 64 graphics: A bit more progress will be on today's site update. Basically the sprites are coming along very well! I seem to be doing the graphics in small spurts. We'll see how much I get done looking for jobs and working at my current job all the time. The status will be on the update.

I am working on the Hell Knight (optimized version) for my project. and I'll be working on my final texture set.
so far I got the first 2 frames of the Hell Knight in Doom 2 pallete and so far it looks good! But of course Esco's awsome pallete with Elbryan's sprites for his pallete is going to look very promising.
