Ah, a mapper. Good! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Melfice, the Speed Demon mapper. (I literally have earned that title here). I speak on behalf of nearly all mappers here, when I say we us "Deepsea." You draw the maps and yadda yadda, but hey, it's the easiest one I've ever seen, I use it myself. Head over to www.doomworld.com, go to the utilities section on the right, and find DeePsea. I guarantee you'll love it! I'm a mapping god (next to the one here known as Kaiser), and you can take my word for it. Oh, and if you doubt my credibility, go here to my web site and take a look at pics of my levels: www.geocities.com/fly_taggart2002/d64tcI believe that will prove it! Talk to ya later... (Oh, and by the way... SONIC RULEZ!!!)

but isn't deepsea extrealey hard to use thou all I wanted was a level editor that is simple to use. By the way nice website and cool level pics I personally like the red color effects in the levels where the guns look red along with everything else in the level very good and yes sonic does rule and if you could can you tell others about this thread I need all of the feedback I can get form different people thanks once again for all your help and if all else fails I might get deepsea but right now I am trying to use wadauther and I did make a succsesful level but all it had in it was a cyberdemon and a bfg and ammo.

(OFF-TOPIC PLUG) Want to test the public beta version of my not-so-difficult-yet-purly-ultra-cool project? www.freewebs.com/weedwell/nindmthm.zip (make sure to copy and paste the URL into the address bar, Freewebs has some problem with linking to files and pages through message boards) But just one thing before you get it; you have to like Nine Inch Nails (which I do )

Well, DeePsea seemed hard at first, merely because i was trying to switch editors. You can use WADED, but shoot, that doesn't support Zdoom of Legacy or any of the other ports, and it leaves alot to be desired I'm sure everyone here will notice you, we're a friendly bunch of imps just wanting to torment....errr, people wanting to help others that play Doom ;D. But seriously try DeePsea, you'll love it when you learn how. About the hardest thing to learn, where drawing a map is, is that you have to draw clockwise for a room, and counter clockwise for solid walls inside of a sector. Oh, and another things, DeePsea has pre-fabricated rooms, which means you just click on a list, and you type in the length of the lindefs, the ceiling height, textures, and etc., and when you click okay, it automatically creates it for you, it can do that with doors, gates (teleporters), pools, windows, polygonal rooms, etc. Try it!

Oh...question answered before it was asked! I was about to ask what the hell a prefab was; I guess I have no use for them now (wasted disk space).
