I have them. I keep everything. Speaking of Quake music, I'll be ripping the Quake 64 ambient music (much better than the PC's music) this weekend. It won't be on the site though.
I'm planning on setting up accounts for various things (game music, toons, etc). They won't be up all the time (my computer's a bit flaky, remember?), and the contents of the accounts will change according to what is requested. I'm still pondering what I'll do.

UPDATE: Almost done the Quake 64 tracks. Those and the rest of my rips will be up this week on an "Elbryan42's Awesome Quality" FTP that I will be putting up for my Doom Depot update on my birthday on April 11th, Thursday.

No comment. The name basically means that it'll be an FTP for my "Awesome Quality!" game music rips. Doom (all versions), Quake 1, 2, 64, Descent, Earthworm Jim, etc etc.

nice to know its going so well! keep up the good work! i like to use mp3 music for my wads and i stop using midi in my wads cause they remind me of old 8 bit nintendo game music! also is it possible to rip music out of old psx games. i rip some music out of alien trilogy for the psx .The music sounds like dark ambient like doom and i sure like to have the dark music out of the resident evil games!

I can rip any music from any game from any system. All of my game systems are hooked up thru a switch box which is hooked up thru my sound card.
Besides, if you want to have the music from Resident Evil, the PC versions (I have 1, 2 and 3) have the music in .wav format. I can get you them if you want.

It's been a while since I played the game. I'll check out the CD and see what I can find.

Hey Elbryan42, what kind of switch box do you have? I'm planning to get one but not sure which one to use in recording music from my N64 into the computer. When I record it from the tv headphone output, it comes with a bad AM whistle like noise.

The switchbox isn't the key. The key is the cable you use. If you use a tv headphone jack or the coax cable (via a tv card) you'll get static and whistling. What you need (and a switchbox or adapter is needed) is a Y-Cable, which I picked up from Radio Shack. One end is an RCA Audio L/R and the other end is a microphone/line in/headphone end. Then all you have to do is plug the mircrophone end into the line in on the sound card. I have all of my systems set up thru a switchbox (also from Radio Shack) with the RCA cable (comes with most systems like PSX and N64 by default). If you use the RF adapter (sold seperately most of the time) you'll get the static and whistling.
Hope that helps.

That cable will work. The headphone end is perfect. It seems that the RCA end is a female end. It'll work to plug straight into the console's RCA adapter, however, if you're using a switchbox, you'll need the male end. Dammit, wish I had a digital camera, I could show you my setup.

I dont have have a switch box yet , but I'll give the Y Cable the old simple strategy. Planning to record King's Field 1/2 music and re-recording the Doom Psx/64 sounds. I had a complete wad of PSX DOOM snds I recorded once before. Stuck on my old comp. On the Digicam, Lol, sure . I just got the adaptor to hook my digital cam up and drag the photos off the mini disk. Only takes 1 about min to do .
