Hey Elby...am I a frad for asking this?
Why are the music tracks from doom2.net being saved as .mpga files instead of MP3s?
Am I the only one experiencing this problem? Or have I been living under a rock for a while and should've known about this already?
BAH!!! I wanna hear those tracks again!!!!

Hmm... don't know. They download fine for me... Maybe it's your browser. Try right clicking and "Save As..." under Explorer. Shit. Doom2.net is slow now. Maybe I'll need to email them and see what the fuck is going on. Maybe its because it's busy, maybe they're capping the bandwidth due to heavy usage. Either way, it's nice to see that the Depot's files are super-popular.

Maybe it's your browser. Try right clicking and "Save As..." under Explorer. Did that the first time. Then I tried just plain clicking it; same thing. Then I tried browsing through doom2.net; same thing...and yet the link had the .mp3 extension. IE 6.0 upgrade time? I'll try that.... EDIT: HA!!!! I just tried downloading a Castlevania track, and it saved as an MP3...does that tell you something?

Nope, doesn't tell me anything. Except the Castlevania music is on my server. I'll try downloading a Doom MP3 again and see what happens...
Worse comes for worse, you can always just rename it. Or download it from the "Awesome Quality!" FTP. Since I forgot to update the FTP Info page for it when it went back online (because I'm a dumbass), here's the info:
address: doom.wrong.button.com OR 24.72.20.212 username/password: aq/aq

FINAL EDIT: Well, I just followed your advice on renaming them, and it worked. Thanks.
