This place is like a huge cosy house with 'Welcome' on the mat I utterly, totally, completely, unequivacably (sp), absolutely worship Playstation Doom. It is the finest game ever made by a heck of a long way, and with the dawn of the impending God-like Doom3 on the horizon I've started going through the original again. Every level, starting with just the handgun. What a game. It may look crusty now but that's part of its appeal. It still plays like a dream - is there really anything more satisfying in gaming than blasting a zombie dead with the 'crunch' of that shotgun? As for the BFG - that one brings the house down. Have you guessed I like this game? As for the music - oh man, how good is it? In fact, who earth developed it because it's so far removed from the PC version it's untrue. Anyway, nice to be amongst fellow devotees. Nice to be home

For me it was the death match. I talked to Aaron Seeler not too long ago and told him how I had made a 50-foot link cable out of speaker wire to play death match in different rooms of the house. It turns out he did many of the same things I did! We both got the same idea for Quake 2 and split the signal to different TV sets, then painted the other views out on the screens so nobody could view-cheat. Still wasn't as good as PSX link-up, but it did the job.
